Swiss Informatics Team Marries SAM-FS and
Copan Disks for Low-Power, Scalable Storage

The Friedrich Miescher Institute installed the system, which uses Sun Microsystems’ Storage Archive Manager File System in combination with high-density disk-based storage from Copan Systems, in anticipation of two Illumina Genome Analyzers that are expected to come online in the next few weeks.
